MY REVIEW – 3 1/2 stars

Dragons, werewolves, and Maji … oh my!

This short novella is full of fantasy elements, a bit of mystery, a dash of suspense, and some romance… all good things, which the author blended well. I enjoy Mell Eight’s writing style and overall voice.

However, I hadn’t read book one yet and felt a bit like I’d been dropped into the middle of a more complex story I didn’t quite understand. It’s definitely not written in a way where it can be a stand alone.

The writing itself was fantastic, even if, at times, having two central couples in the story made it feel a bit jarring. I think I’d have enjoyed it more if the relationships the twins developed had been told in two separate tales.

If you like dragons and shifters, as well as LGBTQ romance, then this series will definitely entertain you.

MY REVIEW – 4 stars

Sexy aliens, fierce women, and an evil king… what a rush!

Sophia is the type of heroine you can’t help but love. She’s strong, protects those she loves, and is willing to sacrifice herself for the happiness of her people. I adored her character.

Ikmale only wanted peace, but when it came to keeping Sophia safe, he’d have gone to war. His love for her was sudden but oh so sweet. They were such a cute couple.

I did find a lot of the modern terms coming from aliens to remove me from the sci-fi setting a bit, but it wasn’t too much of a distraction.

4 stars!

What a yummy RH fantasy!

I haven’t read anything by this author before but the book description intrigued me. At first, I found Amanda to be a beaten down weak character, but I loved seeing her grow more confident with the love and patience of men who not only accepted her but loved her. She’d had her heart broken, and worried she’d spend her life without a true mate. Little did she know she’d find three!

Dante, Sean, and Parker each added something unique to the story. I enjoyed seeing their interactions with each other and with Amanda. Their personalities complimented one another.

The only thing I didn’t absolutely enjoy were the action scenes, and that’s only because they seemed a bit light then nearly forgotten. All the bad guys were handled a little too easily.

The story kept me entertained and I’ll definitely check out the author’s other books. I enjoyed the overall setting and the world she created.

EXCERPT:

“Who. Are. You?”

The words fly out of my mouth even before the front door falls shut behind me. There’s a stranger in my house—built like a demi-god, demonic dark hair, and with eyes like an angel. He comes out of the bathroom as if he’d just taken a break after parking himself in my home for a cozy film marathon. Hello?

The intruder with the white t-shirt wipes his still damp hands on the back of his washed-out jeans, not even half as confused as I am, obviously. “My name’s Thane,” he says. Then he smiles, and the sun is rising a second time today at half past six in the evening. What the hell?

He cocks his head. “And yours?”

My backpack slides from my right shoulder, pulling one side of my unzipped dark blue hoodie with it, and hits the tiled hallway floor with a thud so loud the neighbors could hear. That’s from the five new books I just borrowed from the library. All hardcovers. “Huh?”

Dimples and an amused look make the young man’s eyes scrunch a little tighter. “Your name?”

Jeez, burglars don’t usually smirk and engage you in conversations, do they? Then again, we’ve never been robbed before, so what do I know?

With a jerk of my shoulder, I push my hoodie back in place and then grab my brother’s old hockey stick from behind the chest in the foyer. We’ve been keeping it there since the day I watched my first murder mystery as a kid, and today I swing it for the first time.

“I’m Sandra Michelle Cardington. Cardington as in the name written on the mailbox outside this house. My house.” Need I say, “I live here!” My fingers clenching around the wood, I move one step closer to the housebreaker. “You don’t.”

“Whoa.” His chuckle runs wild into nice boyish laughter, and he lifts his hands in surrender.

Not gonna help, cutie. I’ll knock your lights out.

As I scowl like a wild dog, he keeps his body rigid, but his star-blue eyes move to the right as he shouts over his shoulder, “You didn’t say you’re living with Harley Quinn, Cam.”

The next instant, he moves forward so swiftly I totally miss the moment. With just one hand, he brings my arms down then casts a friendly look straight into my eyes. “Let me show you how this works. This isn’t a baseball bat, you know. You use it a little closer to the ground.”

MY REVIEW – 5 stars!

Seventeen Butterflies is achingly sweet and guaranteed to make you swoon.

All Sandy wants for her seventeenth birthday is a first kiss… then her brother comes home and ruins her plans. The shy, nerdy bookworm doesn’t want to be the only girl in her class to never have been kissed. But she didn’t count on her brother’s best friend making her want so much more.

Thane and Sandy are so cute together! As with most young adult romances, there’s a bit of drama, but it only adds to the story. The relationship between Thane and Sandy happens almost overnight, but they’re perfect for one another. Thane is romantic, protective, and sweet when it comes to Sandy.

Only downside? It ended! I would have happily read another 20 pages. Fantastic story! Two thumbs up. Five stars. And all the butterflies…

Author Bio:

“I’m writing stories because I can’t breathe without.”

Anna Katmore lives in an enchanting world of her own, which allows only those to enter who are ready to hand in logic and rationalism. But beware, if you dare to step through this door, you’ll never want to leave again…

Disney is her attitude towards life, and if she could, she’d save the world from itself. Her patronus is a wolf, her wand the broken twig of an apple tree, 13 inches long with a unicorn hair core. Glitter on her shoes is a must, though she doesn’t care for Cinderella’s glass slippers. Too risky that something might break…

BOOK REVIEW: Loeb’s Fall by ChaShiree M. #eroticromance #BDSM #bookreview

Loeb has dedicated his life to this country. Putting his own life in danger as he destroyed the enemies trying to destroy us. Then, the tables turned and the enemies are closer to home and cost him a friend.

On his quest for vengence, he found the enemy, but he also found more. He found HER. He was knocked backwards. Thrown for a tailspin. Given no warning that his life was going to change, he did the only thing he knew how. He moved in the shadows to find out all he could about her, before he took her.

Now, the enemies know he and his group are circling and the prey has become the hunter and the hunter becomes the stalker. He is in a race against the clock to not only take down the bastards that tried to take out his whole team, but also to protect the one thing in his life that is worth more than all he held dear. He just hopes she doesn’t run when she finds out the lengths he went to secure her.

Trigger warning: This is a dark-ish stalker romance with an HEA. There is bondage, nighttime visits where the h is unaware, masturbation while the h is sleep and stealing of underwear. H watches, invades, reads things he shouldn’t and b and e. He doesn’t come clean until the end, so yes, she is a bit naive and head over heels. There is violence, but not from the H to the h. Obviously there are also ‘lies.’

This is safe, insta and OTT. There is a bit of O/W and O/M drama, but not because the H or h cheats or is involved with someone. They can’t help that they are both desireable. J/S.

So with all of that above, if you still want to read…you have been warned. Sit back, grab a glass of ice and prepare to be overheated.

REVIEWED BY FABIOLA – 5 Stars!

Wow, author ChaShiree M did her thang with this book. Book started off hot from the get go, Nova is young comes off a bit naive but when you know you just know. She didn’t know who she was dealing with in Loeb, the stalker brute of a man (but my kind of Brute, if you know what I mean😈😉). But he loves her like crazy, they’re perfect for each other, Loeb’s a hard man that live a hard life in a not so secret kind of life and with Nova he gets that softness he needed.

This book is really good, you have a lot of characters that get along very well, they’re funny and I’d definitely recommend Loeb’s Fall. I mean it’s author ChaShiree M, so why not? I’m really looking forward to more in this series, I can tell it’s going to be epic💜💜💜

I’m swamped with debt and the “Bad Boy” alien prince is my only hope.

With no way to pay it back, I’m left with no choice but to accept an alien prince’s offer:

The powerful prince is tough and aggressive, a combination of all my charming father’s worst traits.

I promised myself I would never fall for such a creature.

But as we draw closer, he shows a tender side my father never possessed.

Has he really changed or is it just an act?

And when we accidentally perform the Soul Dance and the universe binds us together, will we accept our destiny as fated mates? Or will I keep my promise to myself and avoid the mistakes of my past?

MY REVIEW – 4 1/2 stars

Assistant for the Alien Prince is a delightful sci-fi romance with just enough heat to keep things interesting.

For me, the beginning dragged a bit, but once Jessica arrived on the alien planet, things took off quickly and I eagerly flipped the pages. If you love Cinderella stories, this book is exactly that – but with an alien prince. There’s action, romance, a forbidden love, heartache, and most importantly a happily-ever-after.

MY REVIEW – 5 stars!

Artie and the Wolf Moon is a fast-paced, thrilling read!

While the first chapter started a bit slow, the story quickly picked up. I enjoyed the dynamic between Artie and her mom. They weren’t just mother and daughter, but had a special friendship too. She supported Artie, and encouraged her love of photography.

The werewolf aspect didn’t kick into high gear until nearly the halfway point, but things really took off afterward. The action between the wolves and vampires added the right amount of excitement.

The artwork is both beautiful and eerie at times. Overall, a nicely done graphic novel.

Cute story for kids who love Scooby and Batman.

Mystery Inc is off to solve another case, this time near Gotham City. They accidentally use the Bat Signal and the Dark Knight arrives. The story just spooky enough to thrill young readers, but not scary enough to cause nightmares. If your children love solcing crime with Batman and mysteries with Mystery Inc, they’ll enjoy The Case of the Cursed Crop!

MY REVIEW – 5 stars

Songbird is a delightful read that will leave readers full of hope and excitement!

Sydney Sparrow has a dream, different from any other sparrow. Her family and her teacher discourage her from trying to become a music conductor… because sparrows are meant to build nest, gather seeds, and guard eggs. But Sydney refuses to give up, and through hard work and determination, she’s able to realize her dream.

All too often, children (and adults) are told their dreams are impractical. I love the fact this story encourages readers to chase their dreams, no matter what others might think. Anything is possible with hard work and determination.

MY REVIEW – 4 stars

Van Helsing vs Dracula’s Daughter has amazing artwork and a storyline with enough twists to keep you entertained. While I enjoyed the unique additions to the Dracula/Van Helsing story, there were times I felt like I was missing something. I hadn’t read the other comics in this universe, so if you’re trying to read this as a stand-alone, be advised there are bits and pieces that are further explained elsewhere. All in all, it was a great graphic novel and I definitely want to read more.
