Shelby’s suffered at the hands of her husband for too long. Rather than endure another beating, she risks everything and escapes with the creatures who brought about the downfall of the world.
The fey aren’t as horrible as her husband made them out to be. Sure they can kill with a flick of their fingers, but they’re also loyal, built like gods, and craving female affection. With the fey, Shelby might finally find a sense of safety and even a second chance at learning what real love looks like.
But it’ll take more than one fey to keep her safe from a past that isn’t yet ready to be history.
Another wonderful addition to the series. And I’m so glad Shelby wasn’t punished for the sins of her awful husband. It warmed my heart for her to get a happily-ever-after.
**SPOILER* ALERT*
I hate spoilers, but it’s really hard to review this book without one. Major plot point most won’t see coming.
This is the only book in this series that’s a reverse harem, and I LOVED IT !! It breaks my heart this series is nearly over. I would love to see another pairing of a human woman and two fae.
This book has all the feels. Heartbreak. Hope. Happiness.
I think it may be my new favorite in this series.

Azar has taken over Fort Dallas. He rules with complete authority, and everyone bows down to him.
Everyone except one woman. Melina, the fort’s medic. No matter what he offers, she refuses to give in. A good man would know to stop asking. Unfortunately for Melina, Azar is not a good man.
Looking for an anti-hero? Azar is certainly no one’s idea of Prince Charming. He’s been hated by the other characters in every book since we first met him.
I loved getting to see why he reacted to things the way he did. It was nice seeing Melina humanize him, make him want to be a better person.
Once I started reading this book, I didn’t want to put it down. It was simply amazing. Yes, it does touch on topics that might be difficult for some people to read, but I wouldn’t exactly call it a “dark romance”. So if you’re used to the super dark Mafia books and such, this one won’t come close to that level of darkness. For me, it was more gray than pitch black.
Melina is fierce, determined, and such a strong character. She also has the softest heart, only wanting what’s best for others. In that instance, I was happy she had Azar. He was set on her taking better care of herself, and Melina didn’t seem to have that ability. She’d give and give until she had nothing left, then try to give some more.
Loved seeing more of the babies and the other couples!
I won’t give anything away, but the ending is… wow! Such a major surprise. I don’t know if this will be the last book, but I hope not. I’d love to see what happens when the other single dragons find their mates, because this book was a major game changer.

Lia Dove has always been a free spirit, living life to the fullest and never putting down roots. Throw in a hot biker roommate who offers her no-strings-attached deal as the cherry on top and leaving becomes an afterthought.
Leo Hawk has never felt part of anything until he becomes a prospect in a local motorcycle club. But catching feelings for his roommate, who’s also the club president’s daughter, could spell disaster before he earns his patch.
But when the past comes back to haunt him thanks to his missing older brother, Leo will have to lean on his biker brothers for help, risking a future with the club and the woman he’s grown to love.

I purchased book one at Apple, which is where we first met Lia and Leo. I wasn’t sure what to make of Lia in Broken Sparrow. She seemed flighty to me, and her character didn’t feel like it had a lot of substance.
I’m so happy Broken Dove proved that to be WRONG!
There’s still a lot I’d like to know about Lia’s past and her motivations. I felt like we got a much deeper glimpse of her character in this book, but there are still some secrets I’m hoping come out as the series progresses. Her love of dogs was heartwarming, and I loved how she found a way to make a business out of something she was so passionate about. I think she grew a lot during this story — emotionally.
Leo has had such a rough time of it! His brother just kept messing up his life, even when he wasn’t part of it anymore. I felt so bad for him. Of course, there was one scene with Lia that made me want to smack him upside the head. I hate spoilers, so I won’t go into detail. You’ll be delighted to know he does straighten up and realize he has something great right in front of him – a relationship he doesn’t want to screw up.
For readers who want an “MC” read that’s more about community, this is a great series. It doesn’t have the same feel as other motorcycle club books. In fact, while the biker aspect of the story is a good-sized chunk of who the men are, the club itself is more in the background. Fans of Lani Lynn Vale’s Dixie Wardens series will love Open Road (I know I do!).
Broken Dove was fast-paced, full of heat, emotion, and action. It kept me flipping the pages, eager to find out what happened next. Chelle Bliss knocked it out of the park with this one!

The evil Captain Dearborn has led a depraved life, and left a trail of bodies in his wake. But he’s not the only one who will pay for his sins.
This story gave me chills! For something so short, it packs quite a punch. Mr. Wilbanks has done it again and crafted a spine-tingling, heart pounding read that will have you clamoring for more.

I don’t know how much longer I could have kept running from the Battle Frenzy orcs who were looking to kill me and my young nephew.
Finally, limbs quivering and breath in ragged gasps, I collapsed as they towered over us, ready to end our lives.
Until Jiwal saved us.
An orc from the Raging Storm clan, he killed the other orcs as easily as I would swat a fly. Then he took me and my nephew and brought us to his manor.
His kind has decimated our way of life. They trade humans for labor and as mates. My sister is dead because of them. And I’m not about to let them kill my nephew.
But there is something different about this orc.
I feel safe with him. I crave nestling deep into his gigantic body and being wrapped in his big arms. He is my savior and my home – something I’ve gone far too long without. I’d forgotten what it’s like to trust another being, but he’s reawakened that in me.
This orc makes my heart race. He’s noble and kind. My warrior. My protector. But most importantly…
My Beloved.
Author’s Note: Orc’s Property is a full length monster romance that features a giant Orc with eyes for his beloved, curvy, human. Action and adventure abound as well as steamy scenes between the tiny human and giant Orc. HEA guaranteed.
Are you looking for a fierce heroine who stops at nothing to protect those she loves? A hero who’s both strong and tender hearted? Then you definitely need to read Orc’s Property!
Jane has known only pain from orcs, and will stop at nothing to protect her nephew. Even if it means trusting a strange orc. She’s outspoken, determined, and brave.
Jiwal is an orc unlike any we’ve met before. He’s well-read, even tempered, and loves his people. But it doesn’t mean he’s weak. In fact, his differences make him stronger.
The two have a slow burn romance that erupts into a fiery passion once they come together. There are bloody scenes, and one in particular some readers may find difficult to read, but the story is beautifully written.
Looking forward to the next Orc book from Ms. King!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Celeste King loves to write about naughty aliens and sassy humans. When worlds collide, there’s sure to be humor and romance, and that’s what gets her in front of the keyboard every day.
Telling the stories that are in her brain. Most people would be worried if they couldn’t stop thinking about imaginary voices, but since she started writing down the crazy "what ifs" that occur to her, it’s an exciting adventure.
Her cat, her keyboard, and her husband keep her busy and happy alongside a nice mug of green tea. She doesn’t enjoy them in that order… necessarily.
She’s busy at work on books in her Kaleth world, where human culture is just the guilty pleasure the rest of the universe shares.
She doesn’t need love. She’s getting cats. Lots of them.
She absolutely doesn’t need a sexy alien making her think of happily ever afters…
Elise doesn’t need a man, she has enough with her job and ensuring her brother, the President, stays out of trouble. Or, at the very least, doesn’t get humanity into an intergalactic war it can’t win.
She doesn’t have time for herself, never mind love, so when sexy alien Cade turns up in the bar she’s drowning her sorrows in, she absolutely shouldn’t take him home…
Or kiss him. Because kissing him reveals he has more than a few secrets. Like he’s… what the hell is she going to do with an innocent twenty-something alien who kisses like a god?
When he fights tigers bare-handed, putting his life on the line for those weaker than himself? Well, there’s only so much a girl can take…
She’s the beauty to his beast and his fated mate.
How does he tell her the monster inside him could get them both killed?
Cade’s seen two planets in his life and his farm was nothing like Earth. It’s loud, chaotic and he’s a fish not only out of water but off-planet and sucking deep space vacuum.
The scent of his mate changes everything. She’s tiny, delicate… everything he’s not. She’s his opposite, but she’s the home he never expected to find. He doesn’t care what it takes, he’ll make her see they’re perfect for each other.
Until she’s taken from him and the monster inside him takes charge.
He will save her, but revealing what he is to the Empire could get them both killed…
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this series, but I think this is my new favorite. Who wouldn’t want a sexy, protective, super sweet alpha male? And his true form is an added bonus! (Especially for fans of monsterly romances) – I hate spoilers so that’s all I’m saying! Read the book to find out what Cade really is.
Action, violence, some mystery and LOTS of heat fill the pages. Once I started reading, I couldn’t stop!

Religious eroticism and queer emancipation meet in a claustrophobic monster-romance about divinity, sexuality, and freedom.
When Diego López is guilted by his mother into taking a low-key construction job in New Mexico, he doesn’t expect to be the only helping hand at Catedral de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe. But the church is abandoned, decrepit, and off the beaten path, and the only other person for miles is its handsome caretaker, Ariel Azevedo.
Together, Diego and Ariel refurbish the old church, sharing stories of their heritage, experiences, and desires. But as the long days turn into longer nights, Diego begins to see past Ariel’s human mirage and finds himself falling into lust—and maybe something else—with one of God’s first creations.
Diego López gnawed his lip as he leaned against the rusted tailgate on his father’s busted Chevy.
He cradled his phone against his ear and tried to focus on his mother’s voice, exhausted and cold, rasping through the speaker. The gas station was quiet—nearly abandoned—but his attention darted to an oasis floating above the highway and a napkin tumbling across the empty lot. He pitched his shoulder upward to steady his phone and smacked a pack of Lucky Strikes against the heel of his palm.
“I can find a way to pay you back,” he said and pulled a cigarette free with his teeth. “I don’t need another handout, and I definitely don’t need to play carpenter at some bullshit church to—”
“Cállate,” his mother snapped. “You listen to me, mijo. You get in that truck, you drive to that church, and you make this right. No one put you behind the wheel of that car—my car—and no one put the… the drugs in your wallet, and no one—”
“I know.” He sucked smoke into his lungs and switched his phone from one ear to the other.
“This isn’t about the money. This is about honor—familia. You go, understand? Go, work, get paid, come home. Do your community service and fix your life. This man, this Ariel, he’s giving you a chance. Take it before he changes his mind and hires someone else.”
“Yeah, because every able-bodied worker in town is trippin’ over themselves to go rebuild a church in the middle of the desert, Mamá. Sure.”
“You made your choice. Go.”
He angled his mouth toward the sky. She wasn’t talking about his fourteen-hour stint in jail or the cash-bail she’d worked double shifts at the diner to pay for. She was talking about the sickle-shaped scars beneath his shirt, the choice he’d made three years ago—eighteen and able to say, Yes, do it. Same vague guilt trip, same acquiescence. You’re like a coyote, she’d said to him once. Halfway to a wolf but still something else. He thought about that as she breathed on the other end of the line and imagined her sitting in the recliner in his childhood home, rolling a slender joint, watching fútbol while a pork shoulder braised in the crockpot. Sometimes she tripped over his name, her tongue unused to making the sound, but when she’d met him at the door after he’d been released from El Paso Detention Center, she’d said Diego with her full voice. Cracked every syllable like a bone.
“Yeah, okay.” He sighed. “Do you want me to call?”
She huffed. “Eres mi sangre.”
He shook his head and finished his cigarette, then crushed it beneath his boot. “Sé.”
“Tomorrow, then. You’ll tell me about the church?”
“Sure, yeah. Tomorrow.”
“Drive safe,” she said.
Diego ended the call without saying goodbye. He stood with his thumbs tucked through his belt loops. Endured the heat. Watched the road. Pictured himself elsewhere, across the state, settling in Austin. He’d bartend to make ends meet. He’d never touch narcotics again. He’d rent a studio apartment, and fill it with houseplants, and learn how to cook. He’d send money to his abuela, and he’d visit her more, and he’d grow the fuck up. Becoming another disappointment on the López family tree wasn’t an option anymore.
It never had been, but stealing the car, crashing the car, getting caught… Yeah, that changed everything.
Early summer rippled through the dry air. He scanned his phone again, reading and rereading the address his mother had sent him—coordinates, actually—before he hoisted into the driver’s seat and turned the key in the ignition. According to Google, Catedral de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe was located in Luna County, New Mexico. He pulled his lip between his teeth again. Seven grand to help rebuild a decrepit church in the middle of the desert? Camming paid more. He’d found that out after getting hit with top-surgery bills. But now that his mother knew about the Vicodin, he certainly didn’t need her to know about the porn too. He manifested the future he’d imagined—bartending in Austin, visiting his grandmother, making pozole in his apartment—and drove toward a city called Sunshine.
I really enjoyed the perspective on religion. The part that resonated with me the most was Ariel’s belief the things we see as wrong or sinful aren’t necessarily God’s thoughts, but are instead man’s version. I’ve often felt that way.
The description of Ariel’s true self had so many parts I had a hard time piecing them together into an image I could “see” as I was reading. I did like that he wasn’t the typical angel we see depicted.
Diego had his flaws, but he also had a hidden strength. Despite his rocky past, he wanted a second chance to do something with his life. I admired him for dusting himself off and trying again.
For me, the ending felt a bit unfinished. I realize this is a shorter story so there’s less room for a more in-depth storyline, but I guess the romantic in me wanted a more definitive HEA for Diego.
If you’re looking for a quick steamy LGBTQ read that will also resonate on a deeper level, you can’t go wrong with Exodus 20:3 …

Meet the Author
Freydís Moon (they/them) is a biracial nonbinary writer and diviner. When they aren’t writing or divining, Freydís is usually trying their hand at a recommended recipe, practicing a new language, or browsing their local bookstore.
He’s coming for me soon and I will have no choice—I’ll have to leave the realm of humans and marry the huge, fearsome beast known as Gregor the Slayer.
Orc Guardians are said to be cruel and unfeeling. I struggle to accept my lot in life, and I won’t lie—I’m tempted to run and hide. But deep down, I know I wouldn’t get far, and the last thing I wish to do is bring down an orc’s vengeance upon my village… or upon myself.
I soon learn that while Gregor has a fierce, vengeful side, when it comes to me, he can be gentle and… sweet. He’s also intensely protective and possessive of me.
But we come from different realms, and his world is so very different from my own.
Fast-paced and short, this is the perfect bite-sized read when you’re short on time but need a happily ever after.
Gregor the Slayer is super sweet for an orc, at least where his bride is concerned. He felt an instant connection to her, and only wanted to keep her safe. Even from past transgressions.
Catrin would do anything for her father, even break the law. Good thing Gregor found her before she made a horrible mistake.
These two were an unlikely pair, and yet, they made a cute couple. I enjoyed their interactions, and the sex between them was steamy! I only wish we’d have found out more about what Gregor did Catrin’s old landlord.
Looking forward to the next book in this series!

Country boy Colum Boyle has been home to work the family farm for a while now. He’s shocked when he’s sent to pick up his sister’s best friend for a wedding, and he realizes he’s never gotten over her.
Veterinarian Xaya Asher isn’t sure all the mental preparation in the world has her ready to face Colum again. The sparks between them are combustible and soon the flames erupt.
Do these two have what it takes to overcome the obstacles before them?
Excerpt
“Line two, Dr. Asher.”
Jogging up the hallway from the back, Xaya waved a hand in acknowledgment to her practice manager as she passed the woman’s room.
The morning had been crazy and she was trying to get to her office for a moment of rest and food. That was the main thing. The half a bagel she’d inhaled at the ass-crack of dawn this morning hadn’t been what she needed to keep up with the expenditure of energy she’d expelled so far today.
“We ordered out—there’s a sandwich on your desk because I know you didn’t bring anything in with you.”
“I love you, Mrs. Connie.” And it was true, she loved her staff.
“Yeah, yeah,” the manager teased back.
With the door closed behind her, she walked to her desk and sat with a groan. The hot roast beef sandwich tempted her and the smells rising from it had her stomach chiming in on its opinion of how this should go. Phone or food first?
She kicked off her shoes once she’d taken her seat, stole two bites just to make her mouth happy, then she picked up the phone.
“Dr. Asher.”
“Xaya? It’s Avery.”
She frowned and shook her head before the smile overtook her. “Girl, what are you doing calling me on this line? I have a cell phone of which I’m fairly certain you have the number.”
“I wanted to give you a heads-up before I start hammering away at you on the cell.”
“I’m putting you on speaker so I can eat.” After doing just that, she took another big bite of her food and moaned in contentment.
“You sure you’re eating food and not getting dick?”
She snorted. “Positive. Now come on, tell me what this is all about. Why do I need a heads-up and what’s it going to cost me?”
“A plane ticket.”
Sucking gravy off her thumb, she scowled. “Everyone okay?”
A deep breath. “Yes. Lani’s getting married.”
“Oh my God!” Xaya clapped her hands. “This is incredible. She found someone we’re all okay with?”
“I miss you, Xaya. I love how you need to make sure you’re going to be okay with him as well, but yes. We do love him. His name is Sanders and no, not as in Colonel.”
She snorted because that was exactly where her mind had ventured. “Okay, so we approve of him, good. Why do I need a heads-up? I would love to come for the wedding. She’s like my own little sister. Where is it? Maui? Baja? Cabo? Paris? Italy? Bahamas?”
“You know Lani. It’s home.”
Her fork clattered to the desk, leaving behind a smear of mashed potatoes.
“Conception?”
Was that her voice that squeaked when she asked that?
“Yes.”
Xaya sighed. The denial built on her tongue. She wasn’t ready to head back to the small town she’d grown up in down south. Conception. School just hadn’t been a blast for her and to return was not something she wanted to do.
“I know,” Avery said quickly. “You didn’t have a lot of fun here, despite us having fun. It wasn’t easy for you but you did it. You survived. Lani wanted me to ask you and I’m willing to cash in any and all chips I have with you to get you here for her wedding. It’s all she wants, so what’s it going to take?”
“Nothing.” As soon as the word left her mouth she knew it was true. She would do anything for Avery, her best friend outside of her cousins, and Lani was also included in that.
“Text me the information and I’ll make the arrangements. You know there isn’t anything I wouldn’t do for Lani.” And that was true. She and Avery’s family had been fiercely protective of that particular Boyle sibling. “Still going to cost you, though.”
“What?” she demanded in false outrage. “Are you sure?”
“More and more so with each passing second. And you better make it worth my while.”
“Okay, how about this… I give you one hot—your words not mine—brother of mine, Colum Boyle.”
If she’d had any food in her mouth she would have spit it out. Or choked. Colum had been five years their senior and, good Lord, he’d starred in all of her fantasies. No one in school had been able to compare to him.
“Pretty sure you’re pimping out your brother and I’m not sure he’s going to be okay with that.”
“Doesn’t matter what he thinks. This is about me making sure we’re square.”
Xaya laughed. “You totally mean that, don’t you?”
“Of course.”
“You can’t sell your brother to be my sex slave for the time I’m up there.”
“I never mentioned slavery. More like an escort.”
She dug back into her food, highly amused by the conversation. “How about we discuss payment that doesn’t include you selling off a family member for favors?”
“You’d take him.”
“Not even necessary to discuss this because we’re not using him as money.” Fuck yes, she’d take him. Especially if he’d only improved on what she remembered from the last time she’d seen him, right before he’d gone and joined the Marines.
“Dr. Asher. Hit and run inbound. They’ll be here in ten minutes.”
“Thanks, Melody.” She stole one last bite and took a drink. “Sorry to cut this short, Avery.”
“I know, I heard. I’ll text you the deets. And, Xaya?”
“Yeah?” She stood and readjusted her lab coat before swiping her cell and sticking it in her back pocket.
“Thanks for coming.”
“I meant what I said, Avery. I wouldn’t miss it for the world.” She hung up the phone and ran out of her office.
Colum has only ever wanted one woman. Too bad he can’t man up and tell her. There were times I wanted to smack him for being an idiot, and others he had me swooning.
Xaya doesn’t like chasing someone who’s made it clear they don’t want her. Then Colum gives her mixed signals. She was feisty and strong, and even found the courage to walk away when it seemed like he’d never love her.
There’s a teensy bit of drama, lots of steamy scenes, and a happily ever after that will make you smile. As well as an unexpected surprise that leaves us hanging a bit. But Xaya and Colum’s story wraps up nicely. Can’t wait to see what happens next in the series.

Charlotte: When I get into trouble, I go big. There was so much pain and fear, I turned my thoughts inward. To Samson. He’s my knight in shining armor. The one man I’ve ever felt a real connection to. Then he was there, killing those who hurt me and sweeping me up in his embrace of warmth and safety. But now he sees me as a victim. Not a woman. It’s up to me to prove I’m made of sterner stuff.
Samson: I had no intention of having sex with the little spitfire, but one look at Charlotte and I knew she was trouble. Our night was the kind of explosive a man can’t walk away from, but I tried. Right up until her daddy showed up telling me she was missing and the last person she was seen with was one of the prospects from Black Reign. Wrangler, the little asshole, had her squirreled away somewhere and I knew if I didn’t find her soon, I might never see her again.
Saving Charlotte from Wrangler will be a piece of cake — after this his days are numbered. Which leaves me with time. Too much time. Time Charlotte’s dad will have to convince her to leave me and come back home. So, how do I fight off another man determined to take my woman from me when that man is her daddy?
The latest addition to the Black Reign MC series is a delicious age-gap romance with a bit of darkness, some action, and an alpha hero who has to learn things the hard way…
Lottie is the sheriff’s daughter and a fighter. When trouble comes her way, she’s not going to make it easy on anyone. If they want to hurt her, she’s going to take out as many as she can first. She’s strong, sassy, yet sweet too. And she’s exactly what Samson needs.
Why do men always do stupid stuff thinking it’s what best for the woman in their life? Samson is no different. Instead of taking Lottie at her word, he decides to be an insensitive jerk. No worries… his sister is only too happy to show him the error of his ways. Thankfully, he gets his act together before it’s too late.
There’s enough action and heat to keep you turning the pages. The only downside? I wanted more. The story ended too soon for me.
