There was plentiful food on the table, and his host was already seated, with a pretty little woman on his knee whom he didn’t bother to introduce.
She blushed furiously at him, though, because she was totally naked, trying to hide her face against him, but he wouldn’t allow it.
“Do I need to spank you in front of the doctor, little girl?” he asked—quite deliberately, he thought—which made her blush that much brighter.
“No, please, Sir,” she whispered.
“Show him your bottom.”
“Please, Sir!” Ollyah begged.
But he simply gave her that look she already hated that meant she could either obey him or she would be getting a spanking in front of him.
She hopped down off his thigh with severe reluctance and turned around.
“No, not there. Go stand next to him and bend over.”
Tears began to trail down her cheeks, but she did as she was told.
The backside that she revealed to him had been well and thoroughly tended to, from the first curves of her behind to just above the backs of her knees. He could see that the mottled bruises and angry red weals were from more than one punishment; they were in layers.
It looked like a very sore bottom indeed, and he could hear her sniffling and softly sobbing, but she remained in position.
Carolyn was one of you as a kid, with the intriguing seeds planted in her head of the shivering thrill-thoughts that came with words like spanking, or discipline. As with you, those kinds of words and thoughts connected the heated blush of her cheeks with feelings elsewhere, which got more and more interesting the older she got.
I bet you know just what I’m talking about.
Like some, she started writing down these thoughts, escaping into short stories of reluctant heroes willing to take someone they love in hand when it’s for her own good… and more shadowy thoughts as her imagination matured.
And like some, she started sharing her writings in newsgroups once she gained some confidence.
There’s nothing like the perfectly-turned phrase, the handful of words that can make a feeling wash over you. And if you’re reading this, then you have within you some intense feelings that most of the world doesn’t understand — but Carolyn does, and she writes those passions with wondrous abandon. Her specialties are Spanking Romance and Adult Ageplay, so we’ve grouped the many examples of her work that way.
Spanking Romance Classics are sweeping love stories which dare (in a very un-PC way) to allow their heroine to feel the special love of a strong man who will take her in hand when it’s best for her. Carolyn writes very real, rich characters and stories that aren’t just excuses to jump from spanking scene to spanking scene. If the timeless tango of pursuing ardor touches you, and the head-rush of Adoring Discipline intrigues you, then you’ll love Carolyn’s stories!

She has the chance to create the future she wants . . . but first she’ll have to face her past.
Young, vibrant, and willing to confront any obstacle in her path, Bree Yarbrough has spent the last few years traveling the world and learning from the great artists. Only, her work has yet to strike a lasting chord. When her hometown mentor reaches out with an opportunity that will set her on the path to success, she knows she can’t say no. But once back in Silver Creek, she discovers she isn’t the only one who’s returned home. Justin Cory has as well—and he’s living next door. She may have made a fool of herself over him before, but Bree isn’t the kind of girl to let past mortification stand in the way of something she wants.
The last ten years of Justin Cory’s life has been driven by one focus: go to school, get his physical therapy degree, and return home so he can be there for his mom. But now that he’s back, he can’t stop thinking about the night that changed his life forever—and the guilt he can’t escape. Fun, irresistible, and once-best-friend Bree seems like the perfect distraction. She isn’t sticking around past the holidays, so he doesn’t have to worry she’ll expect more than he can give. But as they spend the season together, stolen mistletoe kisses start to feel all too right. However, with the future uncertain and the past hanging over them, it may take more than mistletoe to get from Christmas to forever.
She steeled her resolve before turning to face him. “Justin.” She didn’t know what else to say.
He didn’t seem to have any ideas for conversation either, as after he locked his gaze on hers, he then turned and stared at the blank wall on the other side of the room. She didn’t follow suit. Instead, she watched him. And she told herself not to think about how good he looked. Or how much she’d missed him in the last three and a half years.
He sported a trim beard now that was just a touch shorter than his dark hair. His lips were still both a firm slash under a straight nose and as sinfully gentle-looking and kissable as they’d always been. And his lashes remained long, thick, and insanely sexy around his soulful hazel eyes.
Geez, she could so fall under the spell of this man again.
Geez . . . she so had to get a grip, or the next six weeks were going to be both mentally painful as well as sexually frustrating.
She rolled her eyes. She wouldn’t let the latter happen no matter what. Because she was over him. It only took one time of offering herself to a man and having him turn her down—while he also pointed out that if sex did happen, it would be nothing more than sex—for her to get a clue. Justin Cory wasn’t for her, and she wasn’t for him. End of story.
“Mom tells me you haven’t given her a decision yet.” Justin finally spoke, and as he did, those soulful, see-too-much eyes turned back to her.
“You’ve talked to her?” She’d only been gone from Mrs. Cory’s office for three minutes.
“She texted as soon as you left. Says I have to make sure you stay in town.”
At this, Bree lifted her brows. “You have to make sure?” Why on earth would that be the case?
He lifted a shoulder. “She seems to think it’s my fault that you never come home for more than a couple of days.”
“And my fault that you left in the first place.”
Bree stared at him, unwilling to agree to either statement. “And here I always thought of your mother as a smart woman.”
At her reply, Justin merely blinked.
“You know that I’d always intended to leave,” she pointed out. She also fervently hoped he’d forgotten that she’d also once offered to leave with him.
“That’s what I told Mom.”
“Then I don’t understand why you’re even standing here.”
His jaw tensed, and his eyes went flat like they had Friday night. “I’m standing here because my mother asked me to. Can I tell her your answer is yes?”
He could tell his mother anything he wanted to. But she wasn’t telling him a thing.

**This is a SHORT story series. Each volume is a short story serial and is an average of 30,000 words. This is NOT a full-length novel series.**
My head rears back at his lethal tone. “It was just a dance. So that I could ask my questions.”
He hums in the back of his throat. “And I’m sure he was all-too-willing to answer every single one of them. Especially with the way this dress clings to your ass. Are you even wearing underwear?”
I lift my chin, pleased to know he likes what he sees. “Yes, I am. I would expect some gratitude or at least a thank you for helping with your investigation. After all, that seems to be all you care about.”
Someone bumps into Max, shoving him against me. When the movement knocks me back, his hand instinctively goes to my waist to steady me. Our bodies are pressed close together, so it’s difficult to not notice the hard bulge between his legs. A bulge that he thrusts against me with one quick drive of his hips.
My eyes practically roll back in my head at the contact.
“I think you know that’s not all I care about, Sophie,” he breathes against my parted lips. “I care that you danced with another man. That another man had his hands on you. That he thought you were his, even just for a song.” His other hand clasps onto my hip, yanking me to him. “I care a hell of a lot that he wanted what’s mine.”
With both hands clamped around my waist, he sways his hips. Not driving his pelvis into me this time, but moving our bodies together to the rhythm of the sultry samba number the live band just started playing. Our connected bodies instantly sync to the beat, reminding me so much of our first dance the night we met. I go with it and allow him to lead me because I can’t not. This music—this dancing—is in my blood. I can’t waste an opportunity to feel it like this.
“You still think I’m yours?” I manage.
He groans when I roll my hips against him. “Baby, you’ve been mine since the first time we kissed. You really think I’m going to give you up? I don’t care how mad I make you, I won’t stop trying to earn you. Because I want to deserve you.”
His honesty takes me by surprise. And it only serves to make me hotter.
The dance floor is so packed there isn’t a lot of room for extra spins or grand twirls. Not that I want any more space between us. I’m enjoying the feel of Max’s hard muscles grinding against me way too much. The adrenaline from before I saw him still flows through my blood and spikes at his sincere words. I don’t want to go back to being Sophie Fuentes, witness for the DEA.
I want to be Sophie Fuentes, the woman who can bring a man like Max Romano to his knees.
I want to feel alive.
I want to feel la vida—life—emanate from my soul.
Our bodies stay interlocked, pulsating together, as we writhe in our confined space. I love this private world of dance we share. No other man in the world can make me feel like Max does, on and off the dance floor.
Ever perceptive, he picks up on my train of thought. “You didn’t enjoy dancing with him, did you? He didn’t make you feel like this, did he? You missed me, didn’t you?”
I nod frantically, too breathless to speak. Our passion has always had that effect on me. I lose all conscious thought, all control, all inhibitions. I surrendered to my desires with his first hip thrust, and now I’m close to begging for mercy, for a release.
I don’t even realize I’ve whimpered until he responds to it by sucking on my neck. “Christ. You need me. Don’t you, Sophie?”

As it draws close to my 17 year anniversary, I’m reminded of the day I met my husband. I had recently purchased an eight-week-old Italian Greyhound puppy and had taken her to the vet. They’d discovered she had a heart defect and wanted to run some tests. So, I dropped her off on my way to work, and I was a nervous wreck. They had to put her under in order to do some of the testings. My husband was working there as a vet tech at the time and he handled the intake paperwork and took my baby from me as I rushed off to work.
I called during the day to check on my puppy and make sure that she came through the tests well and had woken up from the anesthesia. The lady on the other end of the phone laughed when I told her which dog I was calling about, and informed me that the cute vet tech who had handled my paperwork that morning was carrying my precious pooch around the clinic with him. He’d done her nails, given her treats, and pampered her all day.
When I went to pick her up, the cute vet tech came out and talked to me. We didn’t exchange phone numbers, but we both had AOL so he gave me his ID (Yes, I’m old LOL). We ended up chatting online that night, and I asked for his phone number. We talked every night after that, sometimes for hours, until the day we moved in together that March. We got married a few months later on May 1st and we’ve been together ever since. He even left the vet clinic and we worked at the same place for a short while, until we were both let go over the Christmas holidays. Don’t worry…we both moved on to jobs we loved (until I decided to be a stay-at-home mom).
So, that’s my story…How did you meet your significant other?
Freddie Sinclair thrashed through the trees, his arms pushing and breaking through limbs and brush as he raced through the thick forest in his attempt at a quick escape. He’d watched as a silent witness as the Phantoms killed Floyd. A grin spread on his lips, knowing that his biggest territory rival had failed in his quest for power. He’d killed himself with his own arrogance, thinking that he wielded more power than his opponents. Freddie’s fingers had twitched, and his heartbeat had quickened overhearing the Phantoms’ conversation about a vial containing unlimited possibilities. His lungs burned the harder his feet pounded the earth below. He needed to get out before they noticed him and killed him as well.
His boot caught on a tree stump, forcing him to the ground with a thud, pushing the air from his lungs. He pushed up with pure determination and a will to survive, sprinting faster to make up for lost time. The red of his Maserati peeked from beneath the limbs he’d used to camouflage its hiding place and called to him like a beacon, taunting him that his freedom was in sight. Unable to stop, he slammed into the side of his car, yanked the door open, and shoved the key in the ignition. Time was his only enemy now. He grabbed his phone and speed dialed the one man who could get him what he needed.
Pressing the phone between his ear and shoulder, he threw the car into gear, flicking rocks and dust as he hurried to capture his fate. “Look for a vial and get out,” he growled into the phone. “It’s probably in Floyd’s office, possibly in his safe. I don’t care if you have to take the whole damn thing. Get it and get out.” He drew in a deep breath as he pushed harder on the gas pedal, glancing in the rearview mirror to make sure he didn’t have a tail. “The Phantoms killed Floyd, and they’ll be there soon looking for answers.”
About the Book:
For years, Gracie Lister has fostered an image of party-goer and all-around bad girl. After trying to convince her father, the leader of the Phantom Protectors, that she was just as resourceful as anyone under his command, she’d given up hope of ever being accepted, and who could blame her? Never measuring up to her father’s standards was something she learned early on to embrace. Now she knows it’s time to ditch the persona she’s created and show the world what she’s truly made of. After successfully infiltrating the last territory boss and helping to bring the man down, how hard could it be to do again? She knows she’s headed in the right direction and will stop at nothing to bring down the man who threatens her happiness. When long-forgotten memories emerge, they threaten not only her game of spy she’s playing but also her life. Left broken and betrayed, she struggles to find the energy and strength to fight back.
Second-in-command Ridge Connors likes his life neat and tidy. He lives for the dangerous missions, constantly proving his rightful place within the Protectors hierarchy. When tasked with babysitting the one woman who is strictly off limits, he must struggle to douse the fire she ignites inside him long enough to keep her alive.
Mastermind Freddie Sinclair has plans of his own to set in motion. Awakening Gracie’s long-forgotten memories and secrets is part of his master plan. When she realizes she’s nothing but a pawn in his game for power, the real fun begins.
