My favorite authors…

I’ve been asked, quite often, who my favorite authors are. There are so many talented authors out there that I’m always reading something new, and I’ve discovered quite a few new authors (to me) just in this past year alone. It would take forever to list all of my favorite authors, but there are a few that I read on a regular basis. The minute a new release comes out, I’m downloading it to my Kindle or Nook.

I’d have to say that, lately, my number favorite author has been Laurann Dohner. She has several series that I enjoy immensely (New Species, Cyborg Seductions, and Riding the Raines). I’ve read a few others of hers, but those three are ones that I will download the moment they become available, and usually have them read that same day.

My second favorite is probably Eve Langlais. Again, there are  multiple series that I read (Freakn’ Shifters, Alien Mate, F.U.C., Welcome to Hell, and Cyborgs: More than Machines). I’ve found that once I start a series of hers, I can’t stop until I’ve devoured every book that’s currently published. Then I sit and wait, very impatiently, for the next one to come out.

And lastly, my third favorite author is Celia Kyle. I’ve enjoyed her Ridgeville series, but recently downloaded the first book in her Greer series and fell in love. But then, what isn’t there to love about shapeshifting bears? I’ve also read quite a few of her books that don’t fall into either of those series, such as Were What?, Hedging His Bets, and Battered Not Broken (just to name a few).

Well, as you can see I read romance but cover a wide range of sub-genres. Anything from sci-fi to cowboys to paranormal. Not that my reading material fits neatly into one of those three categories, but those are the big ones.

Recently, I’ve also read: Cheyenne McCray, Emma Jay, Eliza Gayle, Zenina Masters, Vanessa Devereaux, Dana Marie Bell, and Hazel Gower.

Propositions Mr. Raine — review

Propositioning Mr. Raine (Riding the Raines, #1)Propositioning Mr. Raine by Laurann Dohner

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

By the time I finished this book, I was salivating, wanting more. I think I devoured it in about two hours, flipping one page after another, unable to put it down even long enough for a bathroom break. I’ve always had a thing for cowboy romances, but this is probably the best one I’ve read in the past year, at least. Maybe in the past decade.

Description
Book one in the Riding the Raines series.Trina Mattews lost her husband of sixteen years to a tragic accident. Starting her life over in the small town of Hailey, Texas, at the age of thirty-eight sounded like a good idea but she never counted on the loneliness she’d experience.

Navarro Raine is the hottest man she’s ever seen. He’s tall, with piercing blue eyes and Native American beauty. He fills her nighttime fantasies and makes her wonder about all the things she’s yet to experience in bed. And Navarro has a reputation for being very good in that department…

Discovering he’s about to lose his family ranch, Trina has the perfect solution for both of them. She’s willing to offer Navarro the money to save his ranch if he’ll give her the kind of sex she’s only read about. It might be the craziest thing she’s ever done but after years of vanilla sex, she’s made up her mind—it’s time to taste a few more flavors.
