MY REVIEW – 5 stars!

Suspense, steamy romance, and drama… all the makings of a great Lani Lynn Vale book!

Carmichael is spunky and doesn’t know when to quit. Even when she tries to give up on her crush, she can’t let him go. I loved her personality, and her need to rescue animals.

Croft was badass in a different way from Ms. Vale’s typical heroes. He fought for justice in the courtroom instead of on the streets. I loved how he was so open about his feelings for Carmichael, even with strangers.

Toss in some suspense, a bit of mystery, and steam-your-glasses sex and this was an amazing can’t-put-it-down book. You can’t go wrong with a Lani Lynn Vale romance.

Explosive chemistry, a wrongfully accused man, and a second chance at love make Jailbait a fast-paced wild ride you won’t want to put down.

The men of Souls Chapel Revenants MC may be ex-cons, but each one has a heart of gold and Trick is no different. Wrongfully accused, imprisoned, and feeling bitter he does his best to avoid Swayze… but when you meet the person fated to be yours all bets are off.

Swayze is strong, feisty, and always gets up when she’s knocked down. But she also knows being strong sometimes means accepting help, especially when it comes from the hot bar owner across the street. She and Trick are perfectly matched.

The book does carry over a storyline that’s been building. Each time you think the mystery is solved, another piece falls into play. If you like suspense, steamy scenes, and bad boys who are so much more than felons then you can’t go wrong with the Souls Chapel Revenants series. The only thing I didn’t like is that the cat Trick adopts (or the one who adopts him) seems forgotten in the last quarter of the book and isn’t mentioned again. Otherwise, it was spectacular!

MY REVIEW – 5 stars!

An epic love story — the type of romance everyone dreams of having.

Beckham and Trouper don’t have it easy. Her dad seems to hate the man she loves and does everything he can to keep them apart. But it only makes Beckham and Trouper more determined to be together. Their story unfolds over the span of slightly more than a decade from beginning to end. There were parts that seemed a little skimmed over, but that’s a lot of story to cover in one book so it’s understandable.

I loved see Beckham grow from her high school days, to her time with the FBI, and through it all remaining loyal to Trouper — even when they couldn’t be together. And Trouper is just amazing… yes, he goes to prison, but it’s for defending Beckham. After she’s traumatized, and Trouper finds out who was responsible, let’s just say he doesn’t take it well.

I hate giving spoilers, so I won’t… if you want to know more, you need to read the book. Seriously. Go buy it now! Drama – so much drama! – a love that will never die, and two people determined to find their happily-ever-after no matter the odds. It’s an amazingly beautiful story, with a bit of violence and suspense, and lots of romance.

Sadly, he never gets to the Ibuprofen. Mostly because before he gets there, he finds a junkie waving a gun around threatening to kill anybody that moves.

He’s running a fever. That has to be the reason that the girl in the corner begins cursing up a storm and drawing the junkie’s attention. Has to be.

Stop it, stop it, stop it!

She tells herself to take a deep breath. Tells herself that she needs to calm down. Tells herself that if she doesn’t get her act under control, things are going to get ugly.

And, of course, that’s when the curse words start flying.

The more nervous she gets, the worse her Tourette’s becomes. Which is, of course, why she stands up and gives the man a perfect target.

Thank God that the coughing giant in the corner makes the same move and saves her life.

And how does she repay him? By calling him every awful word in the dictionary.

My Review…

5 stars!

Ms. Vale has done it again! I keep saying there’s no way she can top the last book, and yet with every new release she proves me wrong. Now, I never like to give things away in my reviews, so there won’t be spoilers… if you want all the gritty details, go read the book!

I love that our heroine, Hastings, has a noticeable difference to others around her. She’s struggled and at times feels awkward or embarassed even though it’s out of her control. Even better? Our hero accepts her as she is, and takes her Tourette’s in stride. Could their possibly be a sweeter man? Sammy is perfect for her in every way. He’s the alpha male she’s always dreamed of, and while they do have a few hiccups along the way because of miscommunication, it’s clear he adores her.

Add in some suspense, a few heartbreaking moments, and a romance that makes your toes curl and you have one hell of a book you won’t be able to put down — I know I couldn’t!
