BOOK REVIEW: Cinderella and Fae Charming by Amelia Shaw #fairytales #fantasyromance

Just because I sleep in front of the fire, doesn’t make me a damsel in distress.

My step-mother calls me Cinderella… Not because I’m happily married to a prince, but because I have a horrible family! My parents are both dead, leaving me with a step mother who tormented me until I left home forever.

Now I live on the streets, stealing food to survive. It isn’t ideal, but neither was living under the same roof as the my step-mother once my father died.

But I’m not helpless, I can handle anything that comes my way… Until I my step-mother tries to sell off my father’s house.

Now all bets are off.

*** Standalone Urban Fantasy twist on Cinderella with Fae, and magic, and a slow burn romance.

MY REVIEW – 4 stars

Cinderella and Fae Charming is a cute fantasy romance with a more modern flare.

Imagine if Cinderella had been fae, along with everyone else in the story… that’s exactly what Amelia Shaw did with this cute fairytale retelling. I loved the Shawna learned how to save herself instead of relying on the prince to swoop in and rescue her. She was a strong character, even though she had her flaws. The prince was dashing, and a bit arrogant, but what else would you expect from a fae prince?

The pacing for the first 70% of the story held steady. The last 30% had a more rushed feeling to it. I would have enjoyed a bit more storyline between the ball and the ending.

Super cute book! Perfect for those preferring a more moderate heat level.

BOOK REVIEW: Late as a Rabbit by Kendra Moreno #fairytales #horrorromance

Tick.
Jupiter only ever wanted an adventure, but she never should have gone searching for one. It finds her in the form of a white rabbit with silver eyes.
Tock.
When that same white rabbit turns out to be the White Rabbit from the story books, she can’t contain her curiosity. She follows him down the rabbit hole and drops right into Wonderland. But this isn’t the Wonderland she hoped for. The world is filled with danger, horrifying creatures, and a prophecy that speaks of her role.
Tick.
Jupiter never thought her adventure would include blood-thirty Bandersnatch, a Vengeful Red Queen, or a sexy White Rabbit. Nor did she ever think she was an important part of saving such nightmares, but a certain Rabbit drew her into this gruesome world, and she’s determined to stay by his side.
Tock.
Jupiter has to act quickly. The Red Queen is growing more desperate to stop the prophecy from coming true. Jupiter is only the second . . .
. . . and Wonderland is running out of time.
Tick.

***This is a horror romance retelling of Alice in Wonderland. It includes descritions of gore, violence, and a sexy Rabbit. Please be advised, there is a trigger warning for this novel for the above mentioned violence and gore, as well, as brief mentions of sexual assualt.***

MY REVIEW – 5 stars!

I would gladly fall down the rabbit hole, especially while chasing a sexy rabbit, and Juniper does exactly that…

The fated mate to the White Rabbit is a geeky scientist who will do whatever it takes to save Wonderland, even if it means losing her own life. Juniper is strong, courageous, and sees the good in people. She compliments the White Rabbit perfectly.

Late as a Rabbit is a fast paced, Insta-love story full of danger, steamy scenes, and more than a little madness. It was an absolute delight!

BOOK REVIEW: Mad as a Hatter by Kendra Moreno #darkfantasy #bookreview #fairytales

Descend into Madness…

Clara spent her whole life fighting in courtrooms for the downtrodden, the strange ones, the abused. It’s only natural that when a man with rabbit ears on his head comes to see her, she doesn’t blink an eye…
…until he opens a portal and drags her to Wonderland.

But this isn’t the world she’s read about at home. This world has been twisted, poisoned by none other than the Red Queen.

There’s a prophecy, the only chance Wonderland has of survival. Clara is foretold to defeat the Knave and claim the Hatter’s heart. But there’s a problem. The Hatter is insane and Wonderland is full of unspeakable horrors. Death waits behind every tree. If the Beezles don’t get you, the Bandersnatch will.

Can Clara embrace the madness and her destiny, or will the reign of the Red Queen continue?

This isn’t the Wonderland you know…

**This is a Horror Romance retelling of Wonderland filled with all the creatures and characters you thought you knew. It contains gore, adult themes, and a sexy Hatter. Each book in the series can be read as a stand-alone, although, it is suggested to be read in order.

MY REVIEW:

5-stars!

A stunning, if bloodthirsty, retelling of Alice in Wonderland! By far the best one I’ve read…

Clara leads a relatively normal, boring life, until the day she spots a man in the courtroom with bunny ears. Little did she realize seeing him would be the start of an amazing adventure. But tumbling down the rabbit hole is nothing like the fairytale. Wonderland is full of danger, and Clara is their only hope of survival.

I’ve always loved the character of the Mad Hatter and Ms. Moreno’s version is positively delicious! All dark, brooding, and mad… Hatter is intriguing and sexy. How could Clara not fall for him?

Their path is drought with danger, bloodshed, and death… but their love and Clara’s bravery will help save Wonderland.

Absolutely fabulous! I can’t wait to see what happens next in the Sons of Wonderland series. I’m hooked!
