New Release: Gen Pop (Souls Chapel Revenants MC) by Lani Lynn Vale #romanticsuspense

GEN POP by Lani Lynn Vale is OUT NOW!!

#aboutHangry: adjective—feeling irritable or irrationally angry as a result of being hungry.
Sometimes, Crockett felt that in her soul.

And, of course, the one time that she’s being ‘irrationally angry’ would be the time that the hottest guy on the continent walked into her place of business dressed in prison orange.

She should’ve been afraid.

She should’ve taken one look at him and walked the other way.

But, she didn’t.

Crockett Archer, better known as a doormat extraordinaire, didn’t walk away from the people she knew needed her. She’d never been able to do it with a father that didn’t love her, and she wouldn’t be able to do it with a man that didn’t think he deserved a chance at love.

One look is all it takes for Zach Caruso to know that Crockett could be his.

All he would have to do is snap his fingers, and she’d fall right into the palm of his hand.

Which is why Zach turns around and walks far, far away.

He tries not to look back.

He tries to leave her be.

But then he sees how she’s treated by the people that are supposed to love her, and all cognitive thoughts seem to flee his rational brain.

One second, he’s running in the opposite direction. The next, he’s playing her knight in dingy armor.

New Release: Always There by Iyana Jenna #LGBTQ #paranormalromance @IyanaJenna

Thank you so much, Jessica, for allowing me to share here. This is my new release, just out on July 31, 2021.

Always There

GENRE: Gay Paranormal Romance

LENGTH: 2,699 words

RATING: flame rating 2

After getting some bad news about his dad’s health condition, Shane, with his boyfriend Kenzo, rush to the hospital. Slippery snowy road conditions, added with a bit of speeding, send them into a terrible car crash.

Both men are in critical condition, with one on life support. Decisions are made. When one must be sacrificed to save the other, will their love survive?

EXCERPT:

“Do you know what’s the hardest part of being away from you? It’s being denied to do something like this.” Kenzo ran his fingers through Shane’s short hair.

Shane’s eyes fluttered open. “I’m dreaming,” he mumbled.

“No, you’re not.”

“Yeah, right,” Shane smiled at Kenzo. Dream or not, Kenzo’s touch felt very real, as was the way he lifted his eyebrow in that way of his.

“This is me, Shane. You’re not dreaming and you’re not hallucinating. I’m here … to haunt you.”

Shane snorted. “Very funny, Kenzo.”

“Shane, look at me, really look at me. Touch me,” Kenzo said earnestly, looking at him with that damn puppy-look of his.

Sighing, Shane reached out to palm Kenzo’s face but his hand went right through it. Shane’s breath caught, letting his hand fall on his bed.

“Kenzo, what are you doing here?” he asked.

“I miss you, Shane.” Kenzo said simply.

“No, no, no. I mean, what are you doing here. You’re not supposed to be here, Kenzo.”

“Aren’t you glad to see me?”

“I am! God knows I am. But this is not right. This is …”

“Too absurd for you?”

Shane’s vision started to blur. “This is … hard,” he whispered. “You were gone. You might be here right now but you’re going to leave me again.”

Shane started to cry, the wall that he had been building up around him crumbling into a pile of dust. He hadn’t cried after he woke up at the hospital after the surgery, not even once. And he didn’t cry when they told him that Kenzo, his Kenzo, had died in the accident. His fault, it was his fault that Kenzo died, and he cried brokenly, flinching away when Kenzo reached out for him.

“Kenzo, you have no idea. You don’t have any idea what I’m going through. I’d rather die than go on without you.”

Kenzo looked lost and confused. Wearing his gray T-shirt, he was still very much the same Kenzo that Shane knew and loved. He looked beautiful, and so real, and alive. Distracted, Shane almost missed Kenzo’s next words.

“That’s where you’re wrong, Shane,” Kenzo said quietly. “You have no idea what I went through. Alone. Silence all around me. I’m not supposed to be here, they tried to stop me from going to you. But Shane, I’m here now. I come back to you.”

“But you died,” Shane choked out.

Twenty years ago, I loved a woman.

Twenty years ago, I also loved a man.

Now, I’m living a lonely life, luckless in love and unwilling to confront the truth of what I left behind.

When my brother passes, I become responsible for my four-year-old niece. Uprooting her isn’t an option which means heading back to the sticks of New Hampshire, to the small town I fled.

Because of Charlotte.

Because of Liam.

My two best friends, the ones I’d been reluctant to pursue but couldn’t deny.

Attempting to avoid facing my past doesn’t work, and I see them both—together. They appear to have moved on while I can’t.

I still want her.

Title: My Saving Grace

Author: Melanie Moreland
Genre: Contemporary Romance

Until Jaxson Richards steps into the picture. He’s everything she hasn’t planned for.

Older, sexy, off-limits.

And her new boss.

When the passion between them explodes, will her life blow up along with it?

“What is your problem?” I repeated my earlier question.

He didn’t waste any time getting to the point. “Did you want to go for a drink with him, Grace?”

“No!”

“He was standing awfully close.”

“And I was trying to step back when you showed up. In fact, I would have told him off before you rushed into save the day.”

“He kept looking at you during the meeting.”

I hadn’t noticed. All my attention was on Jaxson. “He can look all he wants. I’m not interested.”

He drummed his long fingers on the desk. I tried not to stare at them.

“It’s your outfit,” he announced.

“What the hell is wrong with my outfit?”

“It’s too damn sexy.”

I gaped at him. “It’s pants. I’m wearing pants, for god sake.”

“Your blouse. It’s indecent.”

I glanced down. Nothing was showing, my collarbone barely visible. The neckline was modest, the sleeves long, and I was wearing a shawl.

“You are being ridiculous. The lawyer, that Sabrina woman who came in here this morning, was showing more skin than I am.”

“Do not compare yourself to her.”

An irrational flash of jealousy hit me. “I’m out her league is what you’re saying?”

He glared. “Don’t push it.”

I threw up my hands. “I give up. Why don’t you write me a list of what I can wear, who I can talk to, and what I should think, Jaxson?”

“Don’t be stupid.”

“Stupid? This from the man who thinks wearing pants is overtly sexy.”

“They are,” he insisted.

“Don’t be an ass,” I hissed before I could stop myself. “You’re acting like an idiot.”

“You’re pushing my buttons.”

“Your buttons? You’re the one with the over the top reaction here. You’re being a jackass—again.”

“Fond of that word, are you?”

“It suits you.”

“Shrew,” he replied.

“What did you call me?”

“You heard me. You’re a shrew. I was trying to help you earlier.”

I was done with this insanity. The man was clearly deranged.

I stood. “For the record, he came over to me. I said no—twice. If you hadn’t shown up, I would have walked away or if I had to, pushed him away. I can take care of myself, Jaxson. My father taught me how to throw a punch if required, so I don’t need you to rescue me and I don’t appreciate your over reactions. My outfit is perfectly acceptable, and you are, in fact, a jackass.”

“Is that so?”

“Yes.” I drew in a deep breath. “In fact, if this is your way of talking, you can stuff it, Mr. Richards.”

I turned and headed to the door.

The next thing I knew, Jaxson was behind me, spinning me around and crowding me against the wall, his body hot and unyielding.

“Jesus,” he spat. “Gracie, you drive me crazy.”

“What?” I asked confused.

“I keep fucking this up.” He hung his head. “You get close and I lose all common sense. I do things I would never do—say things I shouldn’t.”

I stayed silent letting him ramble. I liked the way it felt with him pressed up against me. I could feel his strength and his anger. Both were addictive somehow and I wasn’t afraid of either. The irritation I had been feeling started to be replaced with a different sort of buzz. One of longing.

“Jesus,” he uttered. “I keep doing this. Last week spending time with you outside the office. Yesterday—kissing you in the car. Holding your hand. As your boss, I shouldn’t do any of that. Or pass judgment on your life. I didn’t intend that to happen. And today.” He groaned. “Seeing him beside you, chatting you up. I wanted to punch him in the face. What is it about you that messes up my head?”

I frowned. “I don’t understand.”

His intense blue eyes met mine. “I didn’t mean to start an argument, Grace—yesterday or today. You’re right, there is nothing wrong with your outfit. You’re beautiful. And yesterday my words were born of hating to think of you living in fear—of anything. I wanted to help. But I know it didn’t come across that way.”

His confession disarmed me.

“I apologize for both—my rudeness and my inappropriateness in the car yesterday.”

We were so close, I could feel every solid inch of him. His scent filled my head—citrusy, musky—heady. He was tense, his muscles bunching, his jaw working as our eyes locked and held.

“I liked the car,” I whispered, the words torn from me before I could stop them.

He rested his forehead to mine with a low groan. “Don’t tell me that, Gracie.”

His breath washed over me. Mint and coffee. I could taste it. Taste him. I wanted to taste more.

“I liked the way you told him off today. You made me feel protected.”

“Fuck,” he mumbled, his eyes locked on my mouth.

“I like how you feel this close to me.”

He groaned again, the sound low and desperate.

Exactly the way I was feeling.

“Jaxson,” I murmured.

“What are you doing to me?” he replied, sliding his hand along my shoulder and up my neck, cupping my cheek. “You make me want things I can’t have.”

“Like what?”

“Like feeling your lips underneath mine. Tasting your mouth. Knowing if the heat of it is as addictive as I think it would be.”

“Find out then.”

He crashed his lips to mine.

And I was lost.

Darby groaned. “Thank you, Sirs.”

“So responsive still.” Hill threaded his fingers into her hair, tipping her head back. “Do you want to play with us more?”

“Yes, Sirs. I do, Sirs.” Darby gasped. She glanced at Hill, then at Adam. “I want to be owned by you.”

Interesting. Adam spanked her again. “Maybe Santa Dom will gift you to us this year. Would you like that?”

She met Adam’s gaze again. “Yes.” Her eyes lit up. “I would, Sirs. Thank you, Sirs.”

Hill nuzzled her neck again, then removed the collar and leash. He handed her a robe. “If you want to be ours, make sure you wear the same outfit.”

“And remain smooth,” Adam said. He slid his hand over her belly, then speared his middle finger between her legs. “Wet already? You are responsive.” Christ. He loved when the sub got so excited for play.

Hill draped the robe around her shoulders. “Write that letter. Santa Dom just might be inclined to give in to your request.” He picked up her clothes and handed the garments to her.

“Yes, Sirs.” She clutched the front of the robe. “I will, Sirs. Thank you, Sirs.”

“Good Girl.” Adam rested his hand on her lower back. He escorted her to the main playroom. He’d prefer to have more time to scene with her tonight, but he didn’t want to overwhelm her yet. Besides, he and Hill needed the chance to discuss her. On their next scene, he and Hill would test her and learn about the rest of Darby.
