It’s hard to believe that Christmas is already here, and with it the approach of a new year. It seems like just yesterday it was January 2016 and now 2017 is rapidly approaching. I know a lot of people set New Year’s resolutions, but I’m not one of them. I used to, but when I realized that I never met any of them, I decided it was less depressing to just take the year one day at a time without any definite goals other than to have a happy and healthy year.
Do you have any Christmas traditions you’ll be celebrating today?
We always wake up Christmas morning and let the kids open their presents and see what Santa brought. Then we watch Christmas movies and just hang out as a family in our PJs until dinner. A few years ago we started a new tradition of going out for Chinese food on Christmas night, so we do that every year now. I love it because I don’t have to cook a big Christmas dinner. I usually bake a ham either before or after Christmas, but we don’t have a huge, elaborate meal.
Today, my Christmas will also include a little writing time (after everyone goes to bed tonight) and a bit of reading.
