Lifting the Veil by Kate Allenton

I absolutely adored this story! The characters were great, the story line riveting. I especially loved the detail of the opening scene. I could clearly see it in my mind as I was reading.
Sophie is a spunky heroine who refuses to let the men in her life run roughshod over her. Once she gets an idea in her head, she goes with her gut instinct and follows through, no matter the consequences. While the hero wants to protect her and shelter her, she isn’t afraid to stand on her own two feet and let him know when he’s being overbearing.
I am anxiously awaiting the next book in the series!
